Cobbs Creek Golf Course (Olde)
A "claim to fame" for the Olde Course is its national recognition as the "Sixth Best Municipal Golf Course in the
United States" by Golfweek Magazine. A product of the legendary golf course planner Hugh Wilson (who also designed
Merion East in nearby Ardmore, PA) the Olde Course was built in 1916.
Accuracy is a must on the front nine as the layout takes full advantage of Cobbs Creek, which meanders through the
course and comes into play on the first six holes (seven altogether). The back nine is equally challenging and is
highlighted by a string of lengthy holes including the monstrous 638-yard 14th Hole. The Olde Course is a Philadelphia
landmark and is a Must Play.
