Philadelphia Zoo

Fairmount Park is home to America's first zoo. The Philadelphia Zoo's 42-acre Victorian garden is home to more than 1,300 animals, many of them rare and endangered. The Zoo, fulfilling its mission of conservation, science, education and recreation, supports and engages in conservation efforts to protect endangered species around the world. Cheetahs, hippos, giraffes and much more make the Zoo Philadelphia's leading family attraction. Check out gorillas, colobus monkeys, ruffed lemurs and more at the Zoo's state-of-the-art PECO Primate Reserve. Or get a bird's eye view of the zoo by soaring 400 feet above the city on the Channel 6 Zooballoon. The Zoo seasonally offers the Children's Zoo, giant Swan Boat rides, zookeeper talks, a magical Treehouse with interactive activities for children and much more.

Check out the Philadelphia Zoo and see for yourself why it's one of the most renowned zoo and gardens in the world.
